Gartner "Schedule an Interaction": An Easier Way to Schedule an Expert Call

Our new tool — "Schedule an Interaction" — makes it easier for you to arrange calls with our research experts. We've made the scheduling process more efficient and less time-consuming, so you get to speak to an expert sooner.

How it works

  1. If you want to speak to an expert, use the Contact Gartner hyperlink on gartner.com.
  2. Outline your topic and/or question that you need our assistance with.
  3. We'll identify the most suitable expert for your call.
  4. We'll then email you a hyperlink.
  5. Click on the link to access the tool.
  6. Use the Filter By Date function to choose the day you want to have the call.
  7. Use the left/right arrows to view available time slots.
  8. Click on your preferred time slot and confirm.
  9. We'll email you a calendar invitation and dial-in details for your call.

What you need to do first

For Schedule an Interaction to work most effectively, we need to know what time zone you're in. This allows us to offer the broadest array of slots that work for you, displayed in your local time.

The first time you use the tool, please select your time zone. Schedule an Interaction will save your time zone information as a default preference for use the next time you arrange a conference call with the tool. If you'd rather we didn't save it, simply uncheck the "Save time zone preference" checkbox.

At the top of the page, select a new time zone and uncheck "save time zone preference." Then click the Refresh button. This will query the expert calendars again and display available time slots in the new time zone. The next time you launch the Schedule an Interaction tool, it will default to your originally saved time zone preference.
Yes, your administrator may launch the scheduling tool and select a time on your behalf. Note, however, that the Schedule an Interaction tool can be used only once per inquiry. If you need to make a change after confirming your preferred time, please contact us. If you wish to have your administrator regularly schedule on your behalf, please contact us at inquiry@gartner.com so that we can update our database.

The scheduling tool is optimized for Google Chrome but works on most browsers, including Internet Explorer (8, 9 and 10), Firefox and Safari. It can also be used on most of the mobile devices that run iOS, Android or Windows 8. Gartner has not tested the tool on all mobile devices, so please feel free to report any issues that you encounter via Technical Support.
